This workshop will be from 4:30-7pm, at Holm Cafe Lancaster on Sunday 9th October.
Learn the fundamentals of stranded colourwork, a technique used in many Scandavian and Baltic countries to introduce colour and patterns into your knits. Scott will also briefly cover slipped stitches and striping, which are also ways to introduce more colour into your work.
NB - if you are interested in intarsia - this will be a separate workshop on 2 October 2022 - this is the technique we use to introduce motifs into projects rather than multiple pattern repeats.
We will let you know what needles you need to bring along, but we will provide the yarn, so no need to worry about that! As with all of our Holm based workshops, a drink and cake/snack are included in the price!
This workshop will be led by local indie dyer Scott from Crystal Yarn, a keen knitter and talented yarn dyer. Scott lead his first workshop before the pandemic and is keen to share his love of knitting with those who want to get started and level up their skills.
