This workshop will be from 4:30-7pm, held at Ethel & Em, 24 New Street.
Intarsia is a colouwork method which involves knitting with blocks of colour to create unique motifs, and effects. At Ethel & Em we are keen to master this technique as the intarsia goal project for the team here is an heirloom quilt like the one in Dee Hardwicke's A Story in Yarn... ok and one or two of the team may want to pop a reindeer on a jumper this Christmas!
In this session you will make an intarsia coaster following a written and charted pattern.
Please bring your own 4mm needles to this session. Light refreshments, bobbins and yarn will be provided.
This workshop will be taught by local indie dyer Scott from Crystal Yarn, a keen knitter and talented yarn dyer. Scott lead his first workshop before the pandemic and is keen to share his love of knitting with those who want to get started and level up their skills.
